Nintendo is moving toward a more digital future as the launch of Switch 2 draws closer. In line with this evolution, the company has introduced a redesigned web portal dedicated to Nintendo Accounts. This hub offers users greater control over their digital library and other services, marking a key step in the modernization of Nintendo’s digital ecosystem.
Accessible directly via web browser and login credentials, the platform allows users to manage a wide range of features without needing to power up a console. One of the most notable additions is the ability to view and organize digital games using a new system of virtual game cards, providing unprecedented detail and access compared to previous online services.
This rollout coincides with the recent release of Switch firmware update 20.0.0. The timing is strategic, anticipating the official unveiling of the Switch 2 on June 5. Nintendo appears to be laying the groundwork for a more integrated experience across console generations, ensuring continuity for digital content and purchases.
The portal includes sections for managing account settings, family groups, registered devices, and data transfers via the cloud. Users can also check or renew their Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions, monitor passes and reward points, and update payment methods. The new platform reflects a shift toward a more flexible and accessible infrastructure, aiming to match competitors and meet user expectations.
