New Mercedes CLA: cutting-edge innovation and design

The latest version of the Mercedes CLA is undoubtedly the most technologically advanced vehicle produced by the German manufacturer. Mercedes has given the model a new look, with a redesign that emphasizes innovation and flexibility, aiming to make it the new entry point to the brand’s vehicle lineup. The new Mercedes CLA introduces an innovative platform and a completely revamped approach to the design of the brand’s models. From now on, all Mercedes vehicles will primarily be electric, with the option of hybrid gasoline engines, without altering the name or design.

Recently unveiled with great attention, this vehicle stands out with its 4.72-meter length, making it more spacious compared to the previous model. However, the proportions remain perfectly balanced, with a 6 cm longer wheelbase, reaching 2.79 meters, thanks to the new MMA modular platform. The height is 1.46 meters, while the width measures 1.85 meters.

The new Mercedes CLA immediately stands out with its captivating design, featuring a silhouette that evolves around a smooth central line, with a key element: the wheels positioned at the four corners of the vehicle. Elegant yet sculpted in detail, it boasts a hood with defined lines that enhance its sporty character, while the coupe sedan profile helps reduce aerodynamic drag.

One of the most recognizable features is the headlights, a signature of every Mercedes, which on the CLA feature a luminous star embedded within, adding a precious touch. The long, flowing sides are defined by a more pronounced beltline compared to previous models, yet without compromising the overall harmony. The well-balanced height and the coupe-like silhouette significantly enhance the car’s elegant and dynamic design.

The interior of the CLA is inspired by materials such as glass, metal, and leather, contributing to an elegant and finely crafted cabin, as expected from Mercedes. In addition to the superior quality of the assemblies and materials, the cabin stands out for its rational design, with a strong emphasis on technology, which plays a key role in both the design and the onboard experience.

It’s no surprise that the new CLA’s dashboard is dominated by screens such as the Hyperscreen and Superscreen, creating a truly unique and memorable driving experience, given Mercedes’ tradition of technological innovation. However, the interior doesn’t focus solely on technology; comfort is equally important. The cabin offers generous space, with seats designed to provide a natural and comfortable seating angle. The luggage compartment, with a capacity of 405 liters, also provides excellent versatility for a vehicle of this size. While Mercedes has yet to disclose the official pricing for the CLA, it is expected to be positioned as the entry-level model in the lineup, with a possible price range between €40,000 and €60,000.
