The core concept behind Midjourney Medical is as innovative as it is unique. The company has designed a scanner capable of producing a high-resolution, three-dimensional map of the entire human body in just sixty seconds. However, unlike traditional, often stressful clinical procedures, this examination is designed to feel like a premium spa experience, utilizing water baths, specialized lighting, and a deeply relaxing atmosphere.
The process involves submerging the patient into a water tank illuminated by light at a specific wavelength. The patient lies on a mobile platform that gently descends through a ring composed of thousands of ultrasonic micro-elements. These microscopic units act simultaneously as ultrasound emitters and receivers, sending out regular impulses.
As these ultrasonic signals pass through different body tissues, their density modifies the waves. Advanced AI algorithms – similar to those Midjourney used for its image-generation software – then process these altered signals. The result is a highly detailed, volumetric reconstruction of the body, providing three-dimensional cross-sections that match the quality of modern MRI scans but at a fraction of the time.
Midjourney aims to decouple diagnostics from traditional hospital environments. The first “Midjourney Spa” is planned for the heart of San Francisco, combining these scanners with saunas and relaxation areas.
